Dr Valentina Milosescu
BBiomedSc, MD, FRACP

"Caring for children is a privilege, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside families during some of the most important years of their child's life."

About me

Dr Valentina completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Griffith University before pursuing her passion for medicine at The University of Melbourne. She was awarded her Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2014 and subsequently undertook specialist training in both General Paediatrics and Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine. In 2026, she was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), completing her specialist training as a dual-trained Paediatrician and Neonatologist.

She completed her General Paediatrics training across Queensland Children’s Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital and Toowoomba Hospital. She also gained experience in public and private paediatric practice on the Gold Coast, caring for children with a broad range of medical and general paediatric concerns. Dr Valentina undertook her specialist training in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine across Mater Mothers’ Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Gold Coast University
Hospital. She gained extensive experience caring for premature and critically unwell newborns, including extremely premature infants and babies with complex medical, cardiac and surgical conditions.

Dr Valentina has a particular interest in antenatal education and newborn consultations, supporting parents to feel informed and prepared for the arrival of their baby and the early newborn period. She is passionate about helping parents understand what to expect, particularly when there are medical concerns or uncertainty surrounding their baby’s care. With her extensive neonatal experience, Dr Valentina also has a special interest in supporting families navigating complex neonatal journeys, including prematurity, medical and surgical conditions, intensive care and the transition from hospital to home. She aims to make complex medical information easier to understand, helping parents ask questions, understand their options and feel confident participating in decisions about their baby’s care.

Dr Valentina hopes provide continuity of care from birth right through to adolescence bydrawing on her general paediatric expertise. Valentina takes a warm and individualised approach to her consultations. She aims to provide clear, evidence-based advice that is tailored to each child and family.

As a mum of two, Valentina understands that parenting can be wonderful, unpredictable and sometimes challenging. She hopes to bring not only her specialist medical knowledge to her work, but also empathy, understanding and a genuine appreciation for the families she has the privilege of caring for.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her children and friends and has a particular love of food, discovering new cafés and trying new restaurants.
